1.2 Using the website in conjunction with Lesson Plans and additional audio material.

To help integrate the site more fully into the classroom environment it is recommended that the resource is used in conjunction with the five Lesson Plans. The Lesson Plans have been devised to allow a linear route through the site, starting with Lesson Plan 1 and working through to Lesson Plan 5.

However, to help match the individual needs to the class, the site has been designed in such a way, that teachers may also take a non linear route through the site. If this approach is taken, it is suggested that the children be given a brief introduction to the site before they commence activities - see 1.1 for details.

Using the website

The site's flexibility enables teachers and children to address learning tasks together as a class. This method of teaching provides an ideal platform where children can discuss their ideas as a group, and share and consider alternative viewpoints.
