The Magic Attic is owned by a magician who has taken on a cleaner, "Dusty" to help him tidy up. While the magician is out Dusty comes across two characters - "Rabbit" and "Mouse". Rabbit is a reject from the magician's stage act but she quickly makes friends with Dusty and demonstrates her own magical abilities. Unfortunately for the cleaner, he becomes the victim of many of her tricks. It is in this setting that pupils are introduced to new educational themes each week. The main focus of the series is geography but each programme has an historical element to it with key ideas being gradually introduced. There is also material in each of the programmes which lends itself to cross-curricular development.

Programmes are still available to borrow or purchase from the Audio Visual Recording service at SELB.
