Activities >

In your Citizenship classes you will have learnt about the problems faced by different people and groups in your community. As a result you may want to find out more, do something to help or make other people more aware of these problems. Here are some suggestions of practical activities you could do, such as inviting a speaker to your school or writing to your local politician.

Publicity >

If you are organising an event you'll want to make sure that people know it's taking place. In this Publicity section you'll find help on the best way to interest the media in your project.
Useful tips are given on being interviewed by the press, organising a photo-call and writing a press release.

Directory >

The easiest way to find out what you can do for your community is to ask them. You could contact local groups to learn about their work or volunteer to help with any projects they are running. These organisations will be able to tell you about the issues concerning them or give you help and advice on the issues important to you.

The Directory lists a range of organisations, giving their contact details and information on what they do.
