Radio Ulster checks out talented presenters with BBC Blast!

At this years Blast Festival at Custom House Square in Belfast, Blast teamed up with Radio Ulster to audition young radio presenting talent, hoping to get the chance to present their own show. There were loads of applicants and it was a really difficult decision choosing just six finalists. Luckly our panel of experienced judges, made up of Radio Ulster pros, were able to whittle down the auditionees and select the final six.

You will be able to hear their presenting debuts on the 14, 15 and 16 January 2008 as part of Donna Legge's After Midnight show on BBC Radio Ulster.

Donna says, 'I’m not sure if I am wise handing over a whole three nights of my show to the Blast winners. I have heard them and they are really good! I might be out of a job by the end of the week. It has been great to hear all the new ideas and voices over the last few weeks working with them and I can’t wait to hear their live shows just as long as they are not TOO good!'
