Niall

Niall is entering his final year at school. One of his favourite school subjects is studying an A’Level in Moving Image Arts. He says, “It’s been so much fun to study, which is weird because I’m not a fan of school.”

“I like and dislike the things that young people tend to like or dislike. But I do have one keen hobby - Film study and film making. To date I have produced around 5 films including a DVD on HIV and Aids.

Working on the BBC Blast/Newsline project was an incredible experience and, in some ways, a real achievement. At times I was so worried we would fail miserably and look foolish in front of the very people we were hoping to work along side of, if we ever venture into the career of the media. But I was relieved and surprised to see two of the stories that my team worked on aired live on BBC Newsline. It is without a doubt my greatest achievement to date. I loved the whole process and if this is what happens in the BBC I want to become a bigger part of it.”
