The truck has been and gone (twice!), and yes it did transform,
into a multi-media village rather than optimus prime but it still
is impressive. Filled to the brim with all kinds of tools to enable
your creativity. Everything from Apples (Macs) to Z1s (Video Cameras),
digital recorders, a TV studio, dance mats and more.
When this was combined with the creative talent of the staff
and facilitators you can guarantee some truly amazing things came
out of it!
If you need a little inspiration or just want to check out some
of the things participants got up to during the Blast Festival
in Custom House Square, Belfast, in June and at Blast on Tour
at Guildhall Square, Londonderry in September.
Right now you can see what went on at the Bollywood
workshop, skateboarding
and bmx-ing with Belfast
Urban sports, 4 short animations
and 3 documentaries
all made on the Blast Truck by young people just like you.

You can also watch the BBC
Blast Festival Gig which took place on Saturday 30th June.
Featuring performances from Oppenheimer, The Jane Bradfords and
Superfreakz as well as up and coming bands Angelfall, Crash Pilot,
Diamond Shatter. Nice 'n' Sleazy and Play the Thief.
The Festival gig was streamed live from Custom House Square.
The whole gig was filmed, directed and mixed by young people who
had been taking part in a Moving Image Training workshop as part
of the BBC Blast Festival.
If you liked the festival gig then why not listen to the Blast
Out Loud Radio show that was written, presented and produced
by young people, under the watchful eye of Electric Mainline's
Stephen McCauley, when the Blast Truck came to Guildhall Square.
Impressed by this years talented festival participants?
Why not have a look at what went on last year, when the
truck visited the Odyssey, Belfast for the Special Olympics
Ireland games and Guildhall Square in Londonderry
