Saint Patrick's Journey

Confession

Many of the stories about my life were written down hundreds of years after I died. The problem is that the authors got quite a few things wrong! I wrote two documents which you can find in The Book of Armagh which is kept in Trinity College, Dublin.

The Book of Armagh contains my Confession which is the earliest piece of writing in Irish history. It tells you about my life and my mission in Ireland. The Book of Armagh also contains a copy of my letter to Coroticus: he was a prince whose soldiers had carried off a number of newly converted Christians and sold them as slaves. As you can imagine, I wasn't very happy about that! There is a copy of the Book of Armagh in Armagh.
