After Midnight with Mickey
Thursdays
12:00am - 1:00am
I was seemingly the last one to know that Lux Interior had passed away in California. I even played a Cramps record this week, unaware of the news. The main reason I played "Mystery Plane" was that I'd found a black and white video recording on the internet of The Cramps playing at the California State Mental Hospital in Napa, California in 1978. That would be typical of the Cramps. Not known for their tastefulness, they covered the graveyard shift for punk. They also came up with one of the best LP titles of all time - "Songs The Lord Taught Us". I bought it on cassette in 1980. I assume Lux will now be learning more songs from the same source.
