A brightening day after a week of bad flooding in many places.

Webcams

Portrush is cross shore and surfable, while La Hinch is a total mess.

The Forecast

While there’s plenty of swell about, it sinks south a bit over the weekend and the wind picks up again too, so things are looking pretty changeable. Tomorrow might be a bit shapeless but Sunday promises new swell and it's pretty big, so keep an eye there for big rollers coming in at all the west facing spots.

On the BBC 5 Day
Heavy rain, getting breezier. Northern water down to 12 celsius. Last light 5pm. Weekend tides sizeable, 5 and a half  metres at Malin, level. High, Malin today 8pm.

My bet

Last light on Sunday up at the Causeway if and when the wind settles some.

And Finally
A week finally, when the corner was finally turned weatherwise. Winter conditions now prevail and wind chill again becomes a factor for all water users. Take care in the water and always be aware of rip currents at all the local surf spots.

Robert from Plumbridge: How many people are there in Northern Ireland who are suppose to have a supply, but have poor connection? I am only supplied with water 50% of the time.
