BBC Weather - for wind direction, advice for keeping safe while surfing, and beach guides.

Gull Glider Blog - keep up to date with Gull's exploits and acquatic adventures.


Magic - Surf reports, webcams, features, photos plus lots, lots more. - official site of local big wave surfer, the mighty Al Mennie. - Howard and the team have developed this site, essentially a free online zine with UK Irish and global surfage. Beautifully presented. Soon to go glossy. - This blog follows Tim, Lurks & Stone's mission from Cape Town, up the west coast of Africa, to London in a 1981 Toyota Landcruiser: in search of waves and good times. Great posts and video's and a whole section dedicated to our friend Paul the Aussie.


North West Surf Club - This is a blog and a nice one too. They are the official representatives of surfing in the north Donegal/Derry area.


Causeway Coast Surf Club - The Causeway Coast has been a training ground for many successful local surfers and they aim to be at the forefront of competitive surfing in Ireland, producing the next crop of champions. - great looking site, easy to navigate and packed with loads of advice on what to do out and about in Northern Ireland. - Based in Belfast, this site is intended for all kiters across Ireland. They cater for everyone, from those who would like to try kite sports for the first time to the people who have been flying for years. There's a forum, gallery, and information on free lessons and demonstrations. - environmental site - an absolute must for those of you based up north. Great pics and footage of minke whales, basking sharks Good forum just started on it too, and a few posts that local surfers should note.


Rosy's Surfboards - Rosy Surfboards are based in Derry. Specialising in custom made surfboards and ding repairs. They also have a very fine photo gallery that's worth checking out.


Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory for tide charts.


Magic Seaweed and Wind Guru for script and swell charts.


Rip current safety - on how to rip currents safely. - an amateur free online resource for the surfing community in Ireland. Big brother to but retains the high quality. - Irish Surfing Association is responsible for the regulation and the sustainable development of the sport of surfing in Ireland representing the views of Irish surfers nationally and internationally.


The Surfers Path - big site - beautiful quality pictures in the gallery and you can sign up for the Monday Morning Wave.


RNLI Beach Safety interactive game, and the RNLI's 10 beach safety fact sheets. - another weather site that we've found very useful. It's got a pretty decent surfing section, you'll find it under Hobbies.


BBC Cornwall surfing site - Simon Alexander keeps the site up to date with the latest surfing news, stories and weather for the area.


BBC Wales surfing site - everything you need to know about surfing in South West Wales. Great stuff.


BBC Devon surfing site - keeping the standard high with all you need to know about surfing in Devon.
