AWARENESS

Christopher was 23 when he died. He had been taking a course of anti-malarial drugs before and during his trip, but they didn’t work against the strain he contracted. Christopher's father, Martin, has been doing his bit to raise awareness of the disease that claimed his son's life. He told Mark Patterson how Christopher had phoned to say he was ill, shortly before his death.
