100 METRES

Donegal County Council has banned jet skiing from all but one of its main beaches - despite a petition of more than 1,400 signatures. The machines are no longer permitted within 100 metres of the shoreline at Lisfannon, Rathmullan, Portnoo, Rossnowlagh, and a number of other beaches. They are still permitted within a designated zone at Downings. Teresa Craig reports.
