FAMILY TREE

There's been a huge rise in the number of people researching their famioy history. The 1911 Census is now available on line, and a new group, the Foyle Family History Society, is holding meetings to help people who want to learn more. Mary Delargey from the Society, and Randall Gill, the President of the North of Ireland Family History Society, spoke to Sarah Brett.

The first meeting of the Foyle Family History Society, featuring a talk by Randal Gill, was due to be held at the Central Library in Foyle Street at 7pm on Monday the 5th of October.

Texter: re more social housing...well all I can say is "there goes the neighbourhood". Call me a snob? Fair enough then I am a snob, but I worked hard to buy a property in a nice development along the Buncrana road and now it looks like its going to be swamped by council estates, people dependant on benefits who couldnt care less about their house!
