DO ONE THING - YOUR PLEDGES

During 2007 /2008, we are encouraging people to ‘Do One Thing’ click here to fill in the form and sign your pledge to ‘Do One Thing’ for wildlife in your garden or in your community.

My Pledge: to grow wildflowers

My Pledge: Create a Wild flower corner.

My Pledge: place more bird boxes, encourage more hedgehogs, grow more insect friendly plants.

My Pledge: we will pledge to plant new trees and shrubs in the area

My Pledge: I have a section of garden,30 feet by 20 feet, I will now leave it untouched for flor and fauna.

My Pledge: I have planted nastursiums and sunflowers in our backyard for the birds and will put out fresh water for them to drink and bathe

My Pledge: To ensure the continued existence of the Red Squirrel and other Important wildlife in the Ancient Woodland at Prehen.

My Name: Oakgrove Integrated College
My Pledge: Oakgrove Integrated College will dedicate a Peace Garden which will be a haven for wildlife and a place where people can reflect and meet for peace!

 

Project Name: SEEDS
Project Location: One World Centre
Project Description: To create an urban garden from a redundant site.
Timescale: One Month, yes one month

 

My Name: Paul Walker
My Pledge: I have got one nest box in my garden for great tit, and one nest box for red robin they have been in my garden now for 2 years but they have not been used yet, plus I have got bird nuts out for the birds, and a bird drinker/bath Ii wish I could do more to encourage them to use the nest boxes, could you give me some ideas on how to encourage them to use the boxes,

Texter, Janet: I live in Drumahoe and numerous times yesterday I have cleared gratings blocked by bottles and cans and takeaway wrappers left by the public - not DoE. Janet. Ps, if they would take their rubbish home!
