Davy Lamb -
Senior Sound Supervisor
Davy has worked in audio for the BBC since 1980. Since 1990
he has primarily worked in TV post production audio.
He has dubbed programmes for local and national BBC, Channel 4, Channel
5, RTE and short films for cinema release. |
| “Davy did all the post-production
sound work on the four films in the second series of ‘Musical
Traditions.’ I would like to particularly highlight the way
Davy found “spot effect” sounds – it was brilliant
– especially in the “Metrical Psalms” film where
I feel his contribution to the “sound design” of the
film had a terrific effect on the quality of the final programme…
Davy did an exceptional job – even finding a convincing sound
for a tractor going down a road in the snow!
His balance of sound – especially when we were using so much
music – was very thoughtful and careful in all films.
Ian Kirk Smith, Producer of Musical
Traditions
“In addition to his technical excellence on Audiovision –
which always meant that the dub of the programme was of the very
highest order – Davy was endlessly flexible and accommodating
in our efforts to deliver the show on time. Any points he made about
how we were putting the show together or how we were asking him
to work were always very positive, constructive and technically
helpful. He was always a cool head in often fraught circumstances.
This kind of collaborative working was vital to putting the show
together and something that the whole production team greatly appreciated.”
David Healion, Assistant Producer
