Personal Life
Born in Doncaster in 1961 into an affluent middle-class family.

His mother was a magistrate and his father ran a Paddington Bear doll business.

He lives in a manor house in Chipping Norton with his wife and manager Francie and his three daughters.


Did You Know?
He claims to have been expelled from his public school for drinking, smoking and generally making a nuisance of himself.

He was a big fan of Princess Diana and bought a flat opposite her gym to catch glimpses of her.

Clarkson recently backed Isambard Kingdom Brunel in the BBC's search for the Greatest Briton.

He's recenty given up smoking, a cause he had championed for years.

At school he was popular with his peers because he smoked in more outrageous places than everyone else, and trekked 17 miles to the nearest girls school, copping off with the best looking girls.
