LONG
HAUL FLIGHTS
In October last
year we heard from Letty, and the problems she was having getting
a seat with legroom for
her flight to Australia.
Now I know we’d all like extra leg
room for a long haul flight, but Letty really needs it - she’s
got a disability from childhood that means she can’t bend
her left leg at all. The last time she and her husband flew
with Qantas to visit relatives down under, there was no problem
getting a suitable seat.
This time when she went to book there
was a lot more difficulty. In fact at one stage Qantas said if
she needed more room she should travel Club Class! That’s
why she came to us and after many phone calls to Qantas, they
eventually conceded that if a bulk head seat were available she
would get it and they gave her a letter to say so.
Letty came back to us this week to let us know how she got on.
She’d had a wonderful holiday but – you’ve
guessed it. Yes she had problems with her flights!
