STOLEN ID

We highlighted the case of Mark who received a phone bill for two Orange mobiles that he did not own. Upon further investigation he found that it had been purchased using a fake driving licence and a made-up utility bill with his name and address on them.

We spoke to Norman Gibson of the PSNI about what you can do to prevent someone stealing your identity. Click Here for a list of pointers.

If you have been the victim of a crime like this you should contact your local PSNI. You can find details on their website.

For further reading, the Home Office has published a study on identity fraud. Check out our related links for details.
