Rates
- How to Pay
Pay up front or spread the
cost? – The cheapest way to pay your rates.
It’s that time of year – no, not just May Day and bank
holiday weekend, but the time when the rates bill is due. Yours
may have been sitting behind the clock on the mantelpiece for some
time, but it has to be paid before May 4th – it’s a
matter of which way you choose to pay it – On Your Behalf
hears from a listener who can’t make up his mind whether to
pay up front with a discount of 4% or spread the cost over 10 months.
We also talked to a spokesman
for the General Consumer Council about financial exclusion in Northern
Ireland – the lack of access to products such as banking services,
insurance, credit cards and other financial products.
