ID CARDS AND ELECTIONS

Identity cards have been a hot talking point this week – an opinion poll says most people would be happy to carry one. And it seems whatever you do, wherever you go, you are required to prove by photo ID who you are.
And if you want to vote at the European Elections in June you’ll need not only photo ID, but be registered to vote – who can – who can’t, what you need to show, how to get an ID card – all On Your Behalf this Saturday morning
.

Secure your Vote or Lose it!
European elections and electoral identity card – to apply for a free electoral identity card, contact your local area electoral office* or call the Electoral commission’s helpline on 0800 0323 700.
There will also be a mobile photo ID centre in your area - details on www.secureyourvote.com.
