No Picture No Vote

Are you one of the tens of thousands who won’t be able to vote?

We know the local government elections will be held on 5 May 05 – we’re surmising that the Westminster elections will be the same day – but if you haven’t registered already, you’ll not be voting at either!

The new electoral register has just been published - if you’re not sure if you’re on it, you can check by ringing - 028 90 44 66 88

In order to vote, you need suitable photo ID - a driving licence, your passport, a Translink Smartpass or an Electoral Identity Card, yet tens of thousands of people don’t have the right photographic ID and will be turned away.

You can get an Electoral ID card quite easily over the next 10 days – the mobile units are be out around the province
