Bullying at Work

Does your boss constantly criticise you? Find fault and nit pick? Undermine you in front of others? Taunt and tease to embarrass and humiliate you? Are you victim to a
workplace bully?

The word bully may make you think back to your schooldays; maybe bad playground memories! But bullying happens to grown ups too –
it happens in the work place; it goes on behind closed doors with no witnesses; it’s estimated that it’s costing industry and tax payers billions of pounds a year – but the personal cost is incalculable. In response to a listener’s letter On Your Behalf asks what can you do if, you’re being bullied? What can you do if the bully is your boss?
And how you can tell the difference between bullying and a boss/employee relationship?

If you think you are experiencing bullying in the workplace and would like to speak to an advisor, you should contact –
