Gary & Danielle's Northern Exposure

We were delighted when we opened the envelope and discovered that we were off for an afternoon of pampering and relaxation. To be honest it was raining quite hard and the thought of an outdoor activity was a bit daunting.

We were greeted by Gabriele Tottenham who came over from her native Germany to Fermanagh 30 years ago and liked it so much she made it her home. The centre is housed in a purpose built log cabin on the shores of the lough and its light and airy atmosphere was immediately calming.

We started off with some yoga - Gary make some lame joke about it being a long time since he had worked out with Tottenham - bless him. Anyway, we did some stretching first and then some of the yoga exercises, including the Salute to the Sun. I was pretty good even if I say so myself and Gary wasn't bad either tho' his balance was a bit dodgy.

After our workout it was time for a relaxing massage - bliss.

BACKGROUND

Gabriele Tottenham is the inspiration behind the spa. She is a qualified yoga teacher and practises Ki Massage, Indian Head Massage and Traditional Thai Massage. The centre has massage treatment rooms, a large yoga area, an outdoor hot tub and sauna and showers.
