Gary & Danielle's Northern Exposure

On opening the envelope we learned that we were going to do a bit of shooting and archery. Immediately Danielle's competitive spirit kicked in and I was accused of having an advantage because I had done a bit of clay pigeon shooting years ago!

We were in the capable hands of Connor for the clay pigeon shooting and I have to say someone enjoyed it more than the other - a small case of recoil intolerance. Once we moved onto the air rifles with Bill the competition really got going but 'someone' always talked when the other was concentrating on taking aim.

Finally, the archery - great fun but it really sorted the men from the boys. Once we got the scores Seamus tactfully indicated that the victor had won by 'a small landslide', but who was it?

BACKGROUND

Foymore Lodge Country Pursuits offers a range of outdoor activities and is situated near to Portadown. There are qualified instructors and full safety briefings are given before a group starts an activity.

WHAT TO SEE AND DO

Gary and Danielle completed three of the activities on offer, clay pigeon shooting, air rifle shooting and archery. There is also 4X4 off road driving and a game shooters package. There are a variety of group deals available and special one-off packages can be arranged including hen and stag parties and corporate packages. There is a coffee shop on site and lunches can be arranged with prior notice.

Gary and Danielle had a Group 3 package of clay pigeon shooting, airgun shooting and archery at a cost of £45 per person. This package takes roughly one and a half hours depending on the size of the group. The above multi activity events included cartridges, clays, equipment hire and personal protection equipment as applicable.
