Kenny Blair is the mural artist commissioned to create an Ulster-Scots mural in Ballymoney, Co. Antrim.

Here, he talks about the North Antrim Cultural & Musical Society, their influence on the project, and the symbolism behind the mural.

	"They produced a booklet to commemorate WF Marshall, the Ulster-Scots poet. And they selected for the theme, the title of his book of poets, 'Ulster Sails West.'"

Creating a large wall mural is a difficult and exacting process - and in this extract, Kenny talks about the difficulties in working to such a large scale.

	"But it is difficult because you’re up on the scaffolding and you're standing close where you think something looks OK, but then when you climb down and stand 20 ft away from it, maybe you’re away off the mark"
