Booking through an airline: Check what airlines fly to your destination.
Step 2
Go to the airline's homepage and select your origin and destination airports and dates of travel.
Step 3
Check prices and availability, then select flights.

Step 4
Check the amount payable (watch out for hidden taxes and costs).
Step 5
Many airlines offer complementary services that can be added to your bill.
Step 6
Enter your details and chose your method of payment.

Step 7
Alternatively, there are many travel websites offering discounts on hotels and flights.
Step 8
Look for sites that display other travellers’ reviews and opinions.
Step 9
Just select dates and destination to search for suitable hotels and flights.

Step 10
The search results can then be viewed by price or star rating etc.
Step 11
Click on the links to find out more, then select your chosen room and/or flight.
Step 12
Enter your booking details and add your choice to your shopping basket.

Step 13
Check your details, then proceed to the checkout and enter your payment details.
Step 14
Remember to check for a secure connection [https:, Verisign or Securicode logos and a padlock symbol].



: Top tip: Always check that your flight provider holds an ATOL (Air Travel Organisers' Licence) and if booking trough a travel agent that they are registered with AITO or  ABTA.
