Whispers and Shouts - short story magazine
A magazine that publishes the best in Irish short fiction from
the start of the 20th century through to now. Each month, three
or four short stories by well-known writers are published. There's
a 'previously unpublished' slot and five to six stories by emerging

John Hewitt Open mic night
A new night for singers/songwriters/poets has started on Monday
nights from 9:30pm.
It operates on an open mic basis and new singers are always

Voluntary Arts Ireland
This organisation seeks to promote participation in the arts
and crafts by supporting the development of the voluntary
Poet Casting works with poets throughout the UK to podcast their work. The project features with performance poets, published poets, new poets, established poets and everything in between.

This organisation runs the Brian Moore short story awards, publishes
a newsletter and provides a network for creative writing groups
