Ceardaí
os cionn na coitiantachta a bhí le bheith i láthair ag an
Fhéile William Kennedy
mar aoi speisialta, tá sé ar shlí na fírinne.
Meastar go raibh Dave Williams ar na déantóirí píob
is feadóg is fearr ar an domhain. Bhíodh rachairt mhór
ar shaothar a láimhe, go háirithe ag ceoltóirí
proifisiúnta ar nós Paddy Keenan agus Michael McGoldrick.
In aineoinn na tarraingte a bhíodh air, fear ciúin umhal
a bhí in Dave Williams nach raibh uaidh ariamh ach a chuid ceoil
agus ceardaíochta.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

It was with great sadness that pipers and musicians all
over the country learned of the sudden death of Dave Williams last month.
A master craftsman, the much respected pipes and reedmaker was tragically
killed in road accident on his way to deliver a set of pipes. But his
spirit will live on when many of the pipers gather together to play their
tunes on pipes made by Dave Williams at the
William Kennedy Festival this week.
