Tadhg Canniffe in San Francisco

Tadhg in San FransciscoTá cónaí ar Thadhg Canniffe in Indreabhán Co. na Gaillimhe le cúpla bliain anuas. Roimh an samhradh, chinn sé féin agus a bhean chéile pilleadh ar San Francisco, rud nach raibh sé ag dúil leis ar chor ar bith mar tá beirt clainne aige arbh fhearr i bhfad leis á dtógáil anseo in Éirinn agus Gaeilge mar phríomhtheanga acu. De bharr chúrsaí oibre, ní raibh an dara suí sa bhuaile aige ach bogadh anonn go San Francisco, áit a bhfuil sé lonnaithe anois. Ba é Tadhg agus a dhearthair Seán a d’athfhoilsigh an “Irish Herald” sa bhliain 1996 – an nuachtán is sine i gCalifornia!

Téann SRL ar thuras le Tadhg thart fán cheantar a bhfuil sé ina chónaí anois ann.

Watch Watch a clip of Tadhg

Tadhg Canniffe has recently returned to live in San Francisco having spent two years living in Indreabhan, County Galway. He was more with the lifestyle on the West coast of Ireland where he and his family enjoyed a slower pace and his children were being brought up through Irish. However, work commitments forced him to make a decision to return to America and SRL joined him on a short tour of the area around San Francisco where he now lives.

In 1996, Tadhg and his brother Seán were responsible for relaunching the publication of “The Irish Herald”. Originally founded in 1962, “The Irish Herald” has provided the Irish community with an invaluable service and is the oldest Irish newspaper on the West Coast.
