CLÁR SPESIALTA 8Ú BEALTAINE
It
was a day when First Minister Ian Paisley Snr and Deputy First Minister
Martin McGuinness appeared side by side, grinning and beaming, for
a photo-call on the steps of Stormont. It was a day of many images
like this, images of acceptance, of neighbourliness, images that
many hardened political commentators never thought they would see.
On the 8th May 2007, the first day of a new power-sharing government
at Stormont, Eoghan Ó Néill presented
a BLAS special. You can hear it again here...
Is í Póilín Ní Chiaráin
comhfhreagraí an Tuaiscirt le RTÉ Raidió
na Gaeltachta. Tá sí ag tuairisciú ar imeachtaí
na dTrioblóidí agus ar imeachtaí an phróiséis
síochána le breis is fiche bliain anuas. Ach cuireann
sí an sceipteachas ar leataobh ar an lá spesialta
seo...
For one day only, Raidió na Gaeltachta's Northern correspondent
Póilín Ní Chiaráin puts to one side
the scepticisim hard-earned by twenty years' experience of reporting
on the North…

Faighimid tuarimí Mháirtín Ó Muilleoir
- iarchomhairleoir, fear gnó agus nuachtóir - ar imeachtaí
an lae.
Newsman and businessman Máirtín Ó
Muilleoir, a former Councillor, gives his own perspective
on what can fairly be called a historic day.

"It's a work-in, not a love-in," says Sinn Féin
MEP Bairbre de Brún. Fiafraíonn Eoghan
di: an dtig leis an DUP agus Sinn Féin na ceisteanna achrannacha
a réiteach agus iad i gcumhacht anois? Can these two political
extremes find common ground now that they have found power?
