GERALDINE BRADLEY

Bhíodh ceol i gcónaí sa teach nuair a bhí Geraldine Bradley ag fás aníos i gCo. Ard Mhacha. Thosaigh sí ag foghlaim amhráin traidisiúnta agus í ar an bhunscoil agus nuair a chuaigh sí chun na Gaeltachta chuaigh na ceoltóirí a casadh uirthi ansin go mór i bhfeidhm uirithi. Tá an tionchar sin le cluinstin ina cuid ceoil go fóill go háirithe ar a halbam úr From The Rising Spring Cloch Fhuaráin agus labhair sí le Lynette faoin albam seo agus faoi chúlra s'aici.

Geraldine Bradley was surrounded by music when she was growing up in Co. Armagh. She began learning traditional songs at an early age and when she spent her summers in the Donegal Gaeltacht she was greatly influenced by the singers she met there. This influence can still be heard in her music especially on her new album From The Rising Spring Cloch Fhuaráin. Geraldine spoke to Lynette about the album and her musical background.
