Help the Aged fights to free disadvantaged older people from poverty, isolation, neglect and ageism. In Northern Ireland, the Help the Aged SeniorLine advice service can signpost older people worried about mental health and wellbeing issues to specialist organisations for help, advice and treatment.

CAUSE is a local charity providing peer-led emotional and practical support to carers and families of people with serious mental illness.  Services include support groups, a helpline, carer advocacy, educational programmes and representation of carers’ views.

Cruse Bereavement Care is a national organisation which exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people and to enable anyone bereaved by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss.

Yoga Fellowship of Northern Ireland

The Fellowship is an umbrella organisation for those who are
Interested in Yoga to work together to:

• promote Yoga and its benefits
• train teachers
• aim to improve the standard of Yoga teaching
• provide Yoga classes in the community for all ages

It was started in 1977 in response to great demand to meet the needs of the public. For more information see www.yfni.co.uk
The Yoga Fellowship is recognised by the Sports Council of Northern Ireland as the governing body of Yoga in Northern Ireland. The Sports Council gives great support to the Fellowship and helps us run Child Protection Seminars.
We are affiliated to the Irish Yoga Federation and the International Yoga Federation. We are members of the British Wheel of Yoga and have joined the new Yoga Therapy Forum.
The Fellowship is run by a committee of volunteers voted for at each Annual General Meeting by its members.
