Family Tree

The very first Da

The very first Da

4000BC saw the influx into Ireland of a new race of mankind. They brought with them, from Europe, agriculture, religion and a culture of stone tools.

All that is left today are their tombs and standing stones often with symbolic carvings.

These stone age people were peaceful and sophisticated for their time...with one exception. Archaeologists now recognise a warlike primitive sub-group that used stones for throwing rather than tools.

These are now referred to as the Da People.
