It was just as much of a shock for Da to see James Connolly sitting in the execution chair as it was for James Connolly to see Da in the firing squad. How Great Grand Da got into this situation in the first place no one was sure.  He had certainly been turned into a double agent then a treble agent. After that he had apparently got confused himself.

The whole period is something modern Da does not talk about at Sinn Fein meetings.
