RECIPE FOR PREVENTION OF BLACKSPOT ON ROSES

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda mixed into a gallon of warm water.
  • A squirt of washing up liquid will help mixture to bind together and aid in application to roses.
  • Apply using a sprayer and begin spraying programme in January and thereafter every 7 to 8 weeks until leaf growth. Also drench ground around the plants.
  • After leaves have formed spray every 2 weeks.
  • Feed plants according to instructions on rose feeding products as healthy leaves will also prevent black spot.
