The Greenmount Garden Team - Claire Woods, John Cushnie and Cherrie McIlwaine

The Greenmount Garden team are back on screen for a third series of practical, down to earth gardening this spring.

Programme 14 - 4th July 2007
Have your hankies at the ready, it’s the last in the present series of The Greenmount Garden. John Cushnie takes a look at how the garden has moved on this season, and checks whether he’s won the potato growing challenge after all. Claire Woods is watering wisely – it’s shaping up to be a scorcher this summer so she’s looking for ways to economically keep the garden growing. Cherrie McIlwaine heads to Comber to the garden of Joyce Millar to see how she strives to encourage wildlife into her organic garden.

Programme 13 - 27th June 2007
In The Greenmount Garden this week, Claire Woods is making sure the garden is brimming with colour all summer long with bedding plants ranging from traditional to tropical, John Cushnie is truly stumped at Desmond Clyde’s problem corner in Dunadry and Cherrie McIlwaine is in Omagh, seeing how Kathleen Ward has created a beautiful haven beside a busy road.

Programme 12 - 20th June 2007
Claire Woods takes action against some pesky pests and diseases in the garden, John Cushnie hits to road to Newtonabbey to help Hannah McIlwaine tackle a drainage disaster and Cherrie McIlwaine is in Killinchy seeing how Billy Jackson has created a peaceful haven, with the help of a huge Leyland hedge to protect his plants from the elements.

Programme 11 - 13th June 2007
John Cushnie is in his Secret Garden – now it’s 2 years on, what’s worked and what hasn’t to make sure it stays a well-kept secret? Claire Woods is in Belfast with the Up Front team and garden designer and Greenmount student Moyra Black, helping Joan Miles screen the wheelie bins in her front garden. Cherrie McIlwaine is joined by gardening guru Dermot O’Neill to take a very privileged look at the outstanding gardens at Farmleigh, Dublin.

Programme 10 - 6th June 2007
John Cushnie is looking north, south, east and west to see what is the best shrub for each aspect, Claire Woods is in Ballymena seeing how garden designer Lucy Cook is tackling the greening up of John & Caroline Evevoldsen front garden and Cherrie McIlwaine heads to Co Down to see the beautiful grounds of Hillsborough Castle and how preparations are coming along for this weekend’s Garden Show Ireland.

Programme 9 - 30th May 2007
John Cushnie is in Killinchy helping Euan Boyle create a patio in a windy aspect and whilst he’s away Claire Woods is in his Secret Garden doing a bit of redecoration and Cherrie McIlwaine is in Ballymena visiting the Slemish Market Garden to see how their preparations are coming along for Garden Show Ireland

Programme 8 - 23rd May 2007
Claire Woods is planting with a view to future flower arranging, John Cushnie is on the road waving a magic wand with garden designer Linda McKeown and the Up Front team in Doagh while Cherrie McIlwaine visits the spectacular arboretum at Castlewellan Forest Park.

John Cushnie is problem solving in Enniskillen and planting climbers up the Greenmount trees, Claire Woods is getting some timely pruning done to the spring flowering shrubs and Cherrie McIlwaine is in Saintfield seeing the spectacular garden of Sally Taylor.

Programme 6 - 9th May 2007
John Cushnie is getting down to some serious forking on the lawn, Claire Woods is looking for the best hanging baskets and liners and Cherrie McIlwaine is Up Front in Bangor seeing designer Dawn Aston turn a grotty front garden into a parking space with style.

Programme 5 - 2nd May 2007
John Cushnie is getting wired in the Secret Garden and goes head to head with Claire Woods to see what’s the best way to tackle a wildflower meadow, and Cherrie McIlwaine visits a jam-packed alpine garden in Antrim.

Programme 4 - 25th April 2007
John Cushnie is planning ahead with some summer bulbs and greening up a front garden in Ballygawley, Claire Woods is planting out some baby veg and Cherrie McIlwaine is in Coleraine to see an exquisite collection of bonsai.

Programme 3 - 18th April 2007
John Cushnie heads to Bangor to help Brian & Patricia Watt create a woodland in their back garden, Claire Woods is trying to banish the slugs once and for all and Cherrie McIlwaine is in Dundonald seeing a garden that really is a world of its own.

Programme 2 - 11th April 2007
John Cushnie sets the wheels in motion for the new driveway garden, Claire Woods is in urban Belfast helping a young family to create an organic vegetable patch and Cherrie McIlwaine is in Portstewart learning some top secrets on daffodil propagation.

Programme 1 - 4th April 2007
In this, the first of the new series, John Cushnie & Claire Woods take a look at how the garden’s fared over the winter and introduce the new all singing and all dancing weather station and Cherrie McIlwaine is in Carryduff getting some pointers about how best to shop – as if she needs the advice.
