After last week’s near-death experience, Ronnie has temporarily
let Eddie off the hook and almost back into the marital bed. Almost, because
she still wants those DNA test results – and they better come back
negative or Eddie will have wished he’d stayed in that container.
As for the rest of the family, their romantic lives are still a mess.
Lol (John Henshaw), who knows exactly what the DNA results will be because
he, not Eddie, took the test, is blown out by an attractive client –
much to the amusement of Sharon (Joanne Sherryden), his lippy secretary.
She tells him he’s doing it all wrong and suggests a makeover -
two hours and a pair of £400 leather trousers later, Lol’s
not exactly sure it’s a change for the better.
Meanwhile, the McMullen girls plan a night on the town and Becca (Emma
Vaudrey) invites Frank (Tom Ellis). Sharon can’t believe the girls
don’t fancy him. They can’t exactly tell her he might well
turn out to be their brother can they? The girls are having a fine old
time until Ange (Christine Tremarco) spots her estranged husband Neil
(Scot Williams) with another girl and all hell breaks loose.
But even the McMullen chaos pales into insignificance when Eddie and
Frank are sucked into a domestic horror story of gigantic proportions
on an investigation. Worst of all, Eddie – king of the chilli koftas
– is banned from every kebab shop this side of Runcorn.
