Eddie (Ricky Tomlinson) has finally got his comeuppance – Ronnie (Rachel Davies) has thrown the lying ratbag out after she discovered he missed the first DNA test. If ever she needed proof that he’s fathered an illegitimate child, this is it. God forbid she ever finds out that Eddie has engineered an even bigger scam by persuading Lol (John Henshaw) to take the test on his behalf!

Ronnie’s all for changing the locks and Eddie’s risking a DVT by practically having to fold himself in half to sleep on the office couch. Even Frank (Tom Ellis), who has been getting close to Eddie recently, blows his top and decides to walk away from the McMullens when Laura (Stephanie Waring) tells him about the missed appointment. Ronnie, meanwhile, has made a momentous decision – she tells Lol that she wants to divorce Eddie. Lol takes her Salsa dancing to try and cheer her up but the pair end up doing more than the Macarena.

With the current crisis at Chez McMullen, it’s not much of a surprise when Eddie goes missing. The general consensus is that he’s done a ‘Lord Lucan’ to try and worm his way out of trouble. But the family start to panic when they realise Laura has disappeared too.

Frank and Becca (Emma Vaudrey) join forces to try and find them – but will they make it in time? And will Eddie be able to survive more than 20 minutes without food or water…
