I didn't realise that the show has been cut to just one season. As a dedicated
Australian fan, I urge you to reconsider. Please?

Great show. Is Tom Ellis any relation to the late great Bernard Bresslaw?
Some of his facial features are very similar. IMDB tells me that BB had
three sons. Another series that EDDIE fans might like was called King
and Castle with Nigel Planer. It probably owed a bit to Minder but it
was great nevertheless. Maybe it's out on video.

David, as far as we know, Tom Ellis is not related to Bernard Bresslaw.
Thanks for your recommondation about the King and Castle.

This series has recently started airing in Australia and it is the best
show that I have ever seen, an opinion shared by many of my friends as
well. Wonderful story, writing, acting. Tom Ellis is simply wonderful
- what a find! I cannot believe there will not be a second series. Please
listen to the comments of your viewers and produce a second series. Quality
is rare on television - do not deprive us of it. Is there any way viewers
can commence a "Save Nice Guy Eddie Campaign"?

I have just learnt that you have axed that great programme Nice Guy Eddie
here in Australia all we seem to get are old repeats of programmes that
nobody wanted to watch in the first place I am really disappointed with
the beeb because here was a down to earth programme that I eagerly waited
to see on a Monday night but obviously in the ivory tower somebody does
not bother to listen to what the people want just like politicians eh?

Wed 13/11/2002 19:03 I have only just seen this fabulous series and would
like to add my comments to those previously expressed. Superb acting,
wonderfully cast and hilarious to the end. One of BBC's finest. Please
make another series.

Watched this show this summer while on vacation in the UK at the recommendation
of my english host. So incredibly original and refreshing to watch. Drama
and humor in good balance. I loved it. I sincerely hope the BBC rethinks
cancelling it and goes ahead with a second season. I have told all my
friends here about it and hope it will be shown on BBC America, we are
sick and tired of hours on end of Changing Rooms and Ground Force and
their genre. Nice Guy Eddie deserves to be, and should be continued.

I just can't believe what I have been reading on the comments board, surely
it's not true, they are not making another series of Nice Guy Eddie, if
so it's an incredulous decision by the BBC. The programme had everything
that is needed to be a success, with so many bland drama's around this
one was a refreshing change from the norm. I hope another series is made
as it would be an unbelievable decision not too.
Sheila Malham, Newmarket: Why, when so many viewers were fans (including
me) has a new series not been recommissioned? If programme planners think
it isn't 'cutting edge' enough, they should think again. It is brilliantly
different from the rest of misery drama our licence fees are wasted on:
it is actually about real people. Ok, they are just that bit more dramatic
(and therefore interesting) than the rest of us, but that is what drama
is all about. Come on Beeb, get in touch with the silent majority again.
