Our series is set in the era before the days of mass tourism, before `proper’ plumbing, and before satellite television brought the light of other lands to the inward-looking parish of Ballylenon. The intrepid visitor arriving by way of the narrow-gauge railway will note little beyond Ballylenon’s predictably picturesque location - a superb site only marginally tarnished by the presence of Flagship Fishmeal Products, and The East County Abattoir.
