Belongings is a crime thriller, in which two brothers breaking and entering
a wealthy mansion find the wife of their intended victim lying dead, apparently
by suicide. Their initial reaction is of confusion and then fear, but
anger erupts when it’s revealed that one of the brothers hasn’t
told the other the full details of their extraordinary heist. Before long
personal enmities and festering resentments are being played out in a
complex tale of cross and double cross.
It’s almost impossible to tell just who is playing with whom in
this psychological intrigue, but what is certain is that none of those
involved is fully in control of events, and disaster seems inevitable.
Cast includes Conleth Hill and Nick Danan as the two intruders, and Cathy
Belton and Mark Lambert as the husband and wife who have long passed the
point of reconciliation and even mutual tolerance.
Dominique’s radio plays include, The Glasshouse, (2003) and The
Reign of Joseph Cain ((2004). Water Lens 2005. She was the winner of BBC
NI's Tony
Doyle Bursary for New Writers in 2003.
