The story
is set in small-town Northern Ireland on the eve of the Twelfth
of July. Beneath the watchful gaze of the Sacred Heart and John
F. Kennedy Josephine puts the finishing touches to her fabulous
sculptural creation - a celebratory cake in honour of the Twelfth
baked to order for the local Orange Lodge. Events take a surreal
turn as Josephine makes her delivery of the cake. |

3. Won the 1st prize in the Best Irish Shorts category at the
Galway Film Fleadh. This is the Tiernan MacBride award (July

4. Won the Special Jury Award and the Audience Award at the
Aspen Short Film Festival in Colorado, USA (April 1997).
5. "Dance Lexie Dance" director, Tim Loane, won the
Frank Copplestone award, a First-Time Director award, at the
Celtic Film Festival in Cornwall (March 1997).
6. Won the Claire Lynch Award at the Cork International Film
Festival October 1996 for Best First Film by Irish Director

armed robbers as they contemplate the risk of a bank robbery.
Nervous and unsure, they sit waiting in a car opposite the bank
for dawn to approach and the security van to arrive. Lost in
snatches of fond memory and chilling moments of recollection,
each one is instinctively aware that the outcome of the event
will be fatal. |

Lights first animated short film is an enjoyable and darkly
comic parable which concerns a sweet little girl, Janey, and
her bad tempered parents who are in the midst of a family break-up.
In answer to her wishes, Janey is befriended by FredGlob the
goblin, who proceeds to devour everything close to her - including
her mother and father. Just when she thought FredGlob and her
could play together happily ever after, he turns his hairy mouth
on her! |
