Episode 1: A major new adaptation of John McGahern’s modern Irish classic. This is the story of Michael Moran (Tony Doyle), a father who tries to put right in his family what he thinks is wrong in the world. It is also the story of his sons and daughters who struggle to be his children.
Episode 2: Maggie is re-united with Luke in London and meets her first love. Back at Great Meadow Moran's other daughters confront their futures and test the bonds of love and duty that bind them to him.
Episode 3: Michael is infatuated with Nell Morahan and begins to push against the dominance of his father. Whilst Michael strikes out for freedom, Luke's star is rising, Sheila has met her match and Maggie is heading for married life.
Episode 4: In this final episode, the occasion of Sheila’s wedding offers a last chance for Luke and Moran to be reconciled. For Moran’s daughters however, his decline reminds them that they were never able to leave him.

Title: Falling For A Dancer
Logline: Liam Cunningham is Mossie SheehanEpisode 1: 1930’s Ireland. The carefree world of well to do young Elizabeth Sullivan is cruelly interrupted. Forced to choose between an arranged marriage or the horrors of a religious workhouse she is exiled to the harsh and unforgiving landscape of the Beara Peninsula. Married off to Neeley, a widowed farmer with 4 children of his own she is caught up in his feud with their neighbour, the enigmatic Mossie Sheehan.
Episode 2: Neeley’s jealousy is ignited by Elizabeth’s chance encounter with the actor George. Fleeing from his brutality and blaming Mossie for her predicament she meets young Daniel. Oblivious to her stepdaughter Kathleen’s feelings for him she accepts his invitation at the local dancehall. Their provocative dancing leads to tragic consequences.
Episode 3: Elizabeth’s life is thrown upside down after the death of her husband Neeley. Mossie’s use of the local matchmaker to woo her goes spectacularly wrong. Rejected by Elizabeth will Mossie help Daniel, his rival for her affections? With Daniel facing the hangman’s noose only a change of evidence by Mossie can now save him.
Episode 4: As tragedy strikes another in her family, Elizabeth contemplates returning to the city. Finally ridding herself of the love struck Daniel she has to cope with the disappearance of Kathleen. As relations thaw with Mossie the impossible becomes possible. Can she at last find true happiness for herself?
