Messiah III: The Promise

The background music for the Messiah III trail was Carmina Burana by Carl Orff.

Nicholas Hooper was specially commissioned to compose the music for the two part Messiah III series. He has been internationally recognised for his work and has won many awards.

In 2004 he won a BAFTA Award (for Best Original Music) and a 2004 Ivor Novello Award (for Best Original Music) for his score to the BBC drama The Young Visitors.

Nicholas also received a BAFTA nomination for Best Original TV Music for the BBC series State of Play.

Last year he was nominated for a BAFTA award for his critically acclaimed score to The Way We Live Now.
