Great programme that just doesnt come around again quick enough. Strong
acting a some disturbing scenes. I have just looked at the other comments
and do agree with some (like using deaf actors/actresses), but for the
people who complain about scenes and violent story lines live in a "bubble"
world if you dont like it turn over. Programmes like Messiah are for
people to truly open their thoughts and minds to a great 'whodunnit'
that pushes the the boundaries and are thought provoking!!

I was so excited about Messiah 3 and watch the first two all the time,
however, I have to say I was quite disappointed. Although the acting
was superb as usual, the storyline was fairly weak and a tad unrealistic,
it even bored me a little! I had very high expectations of Messiah 3
as the first two were of such high quality but felt that all my waiting
and anticipation has been in vain! However, I cannot fault the quality
of acting of Ken Stott, Frances Grey and Neil Dudgeon as it was excellent,
and the relationship between Red and Susan was also a great addition
to this Messiah. I hope that Messiah 4 will be better!

I would like to complain about TV programme last night and Monday, Messiah
3 because Red's wife, Susan (Michelle Forbos)as her signing were terrible
and no facial expression etc. (all the time, she use lip shut during
the signing! Fact, Deaf people don't use lip shut all the time!) and
she is real life hearing person!!What!! Why BBC didn't employ real Deaf
Actress as there are loads Deaf actress about and some of them have
been appears on TV.
I am Full time Sign language tutor and also, I am Deaf and I find her
signing were terrible and also Red too. I wonder who taught them signs
before or during the filming? My partner and my deaf friends and also
Deaf community agreed that both were terrible and the signs were not
very clear.
Shame on BBC to use fake Deaf character and leave real Deaf actress
person out of it!!

As a Deaf viewer I wish to protest strongly at the use of a non-deaf
actor in Messiah 3. A quality drama programme had my wife and I cringing
at the appalling sign interations within. Why oh why use non-deaf actors
where there are plenty of good deaf wannabees?
This demonstrates the total lack of thought behind such programmes.
Many tens of thousands of hearing people whio have acquired basic sign
language skills must have laughed at such incompetence, while deaf viewers
are left devastated at such mockery of their first language. Stop it
now before the BBC slips into the gutter with such amateurish portrayal
of proud deaf people.

Excellent drama. Ok, the second part did run out of steam a little....I
think it needed even more Ken Stott! The strength of Messiah 1 seemed
to come from the main drama being focused around the character of Red.
Even so, all of the acting was fantastic, but I especially enjoyed the
relationship between Red and his wife, Susan and would love to see more
in a Messiah 4 (hopefully). Congratulations.

The first Messiah was excellent very scary. The second one was just
crazy. clearly no research was put into the making of Messiah; firstly
no one would die in 2 mins because they got MRSA from a scratch on their
arm, this is so far from the truth i am gobsmacked. Secondly is it policy
to just allow prisoners to die, not take them to itu to try and save
there life? I hope the programme is as far from reality as it seems!
I don't expect everything to be completley accurate however this was
so far from the truth it was unbelievable and ridiculous.

Ken Stott was marvellous as usual, but Red's constant "go back
and interview everyone again"showed that the storyline had not
been thought out.It seems so sad when you have a first class cast, and
superb production (really oppressive dread-ridden atmosphere)to give
the viewer such a raggy plot.I actually thought I was watching Kindom
Hospital (and that is a fantasy so they are allowed to be Gothic).also
don't tell me that NHS hospitals are so lacking in staff that one doctor
is not seen wheeling people to Scanning machines, swapping wrist bracelets
and notes and locking people in freezers? Were there no nurses, porters
and other staff around, not to mention any patients still alive to see
him?also the killer tallied as many bodies as Fred West, but Red and
his team bumbled on free of superior intervention or press intrusion. Please
please please, keep it simple next time.Actors like Stott, Dudgeon et
al can do it without a barmy script, as they have proved in numbers
1 and 2.

Having a programme in two parts is acceptable - just. Having the second
part of the programme split again by the news destroyed it completely.
I have never felt strongly enough about a subject to comment before,
but I'm afraid you really have driven me to despair this time.

I loved Messiah 1 and 2...definatly one of the best programs on the
box and Ken Stott is amazing, he is a brilliant actor! Messiah 3 got
off to a good start, but I was somewhat disappointed towards the end,
they should have prolonged the mystery and whereas before I liked Kate's
character, in this one she was quite bland. Next time make a happier
Kate plz! But keep it coming, I can't wait till the next one!!

Although the second half 'woke up' a bit, this one had none of the brilliance
of the previous two. The main problem I think was that the bbc, in their
inifinite wisdom, showed most of the best bits in the trailers! Tips
for Messiah 4 (which must happen, surely?) - keep us in suspense, and
cut down the body count. Just bumping off as many people as possible
isn't half as scary! Hats off to all the actors for a top rate job as
ever though!

Having loved the first Messiah, and been so-so about the second, I have
to say I was slightly disappointed by the third. When I first saw an
advert on TV for it, I was really eager to see it, but I found it hardly
worth the wait.
The action all taking place in a hospital gave it a strange feel -
it didn't feel like a Messiah, as it had barely any scenes of the police
team going over what they know, etc. Also, as some other pople have
been saying, the killer was obvious. Someone who is featuredly fairly
prominently in the proceedings without coming under suspicsion? Gotta
be them.
Also, the sub-plot with Kate was boring, she really needed to do something
other than stand around with a terrified/traumatised expression on her
face for 150 minutes.
I still hope they make a fourth Messiah, but if they do I wish they
would go back to the same style as previous ones.

I really did enjoy the first half of Messiah III, but I'd have to say
that it's the weakest so far - and not just because it was obvious who
the killer was from far too early in.
It felt like they just came up with a bunch of grisly murders (I enjoy
a good grisly murder, but sheesh, enough already) and then tried desperately
to pull the whole thing together at the end. The killer's motivation
was borderline pathetic and the actor really didn't manage to sell it
at all. I just really didn't believe it.
The majority of the show felt like either grisly murders or people
yelling at each other. Aside from the incredibly overemotinal Kate,
everybody else just seemed really fed up, and she was only emotional
'cos we were supposed to think she'd gone nutty.
I hope they make a Messiah IV. I also hope they focus on developing
the characters, cutting the needless murders and making sure we have
more than one suspect.

Fantastic, please make lots more. You never know one day I may guess
the killer correctly lol.

I enjoy the Messiah programs so much. Ken Stott is one of my favourite
actors, he has a fantastic accent. I am from Edinburgh too and I love
to hear his voice. The story lines are gripping and the whole cast are
great too. I would love to see more definitely, please keep making them.
Messiah is one of the best things on the box and worth watching.

Although I was very excited about the arrival of Messiah 3, I'd have
to say that in all honesty I was left disappointed at the end. The story
line seemed very flat and therefore there was no real excitment when
the killer was revealed at the end. Please don't make anymore as I feel
this will just deduct from the brilliance of the first two even more!

After a fantastic start in the prison, I thought this series was very
disappointing. People getting 'bumped off' every two minutes and murder
via MRSA and MRI seemed totally unrealistic. The fact that Kate or Red's
wife never smiled through the entire program didn't make easy watching
either.
To me it was obvious right from the start who the culprit was and the
story was just totally absurd at the end.
Shame as previous episodes have been excellent.
