A local version of the Lifeline programme is broadcast twice a year on BBC Northern Ireland television. It profiles the work and support needs of a featured charity and also includes news about developments within the community and voluntary sectors.
Embrace NI was Lifeline's featured charity in October 2011. The organisation was set up informally in 2001 as an inter-church group and attained charitable status in 2006. The charity provides a range of services to migrant people and asylum seekers. Embrace NI used its Lifeline Appeal to raise funds and to increase awareness of its work.
Embrace NI can be contacted on 079699 21328, email info@embraceni.org or through the Embrace NI website.
