Our annual TV series showcases the creative talents of all the young people who have worked with Blast on projects over the course of the year.
Whether it’s highlights from a live music show, behind the scenes on a film set or following young fashion designers and photographers as they prepare for their first big shoot, Blast brings you all the action in an amazing 20 minute nugget on BBC2 every Autumn.

Programme 1: SOUNDSTAGE
A team of young people produce, present and perform in a live studio-based music show. They learn the skills of a camera operator, sound engineer, floor manager and make-up artist.

Programme 2: FASHION & ART
Would-be fashion designers turn no-frills materials into high fashion to feature in a real fashion shoot and young Dunclug residents re-imagine a neglected underpass.

Programme 3: FILMMAKING
From the latest blockbusters through zombie horror to old style Super 8 films, young people have a go at all aspects of film production, working with various industry experts to create their films.

Programme 4: SEASHELL HOTEL
The National Deaf Children's Society make a psychological thriller set in the 1950s. The young people were involved in all aspects of camera work, art direction, set dressing, acting and sound recording.

Programme 1: ACTION!
Go behind the scenes with a group of talented young filmmakers from the National Deaf Children’s Society, before watching their film ‘Murder at the Manor’ - a murder mystery with a twist. Watch all the thrills and spills as the young people come together on location to make this period ‘Whodunnit’. The young people fill all the roles from clapper loader to set dresser, as well as providing the script and acting all the parts. The journey behind the scenes culminates in a chance to watch their gruesome film. Can you spot the twist?

Programme 2: THE BANDWAGON
Catch up on all the highs and lows as Blast searches for its very own pop band. We follow the participants from the whirlwind of initial auditions, through a series of master-classes where they get coaching from top industry professionals in performance, singing, style and dance, before the successful members of 'Cloud Nine' are announced. The eight members of the new band then get to lay down their track at the AmmA centre in Armagh, making use of the professional recording studio; and they go on to make a video for the song in the Marketplace theatre.

Programme 3: SHOOT IT!
An Oscar-nominated filmmaker, a young scriptwriter and novice cast and crew make a film in just three days. Have Dan Gordon and Terry Loane met their match? Check out the best new writing and acting talent Northern Ireland has to offer, working with some of the top professionals available today. Watch ‘Lights in a Box’ in production, then enjoy the film itself.

Programme 4: THE FESTIVAL
Can young people from across Northern Ireland rise to the challenge and produce, shoot and host an Outside Broadcast? Watch all the best bits and catch up with some of the fun from the BBC Blast Festival in Belfast’s Custom House Square as a young crew of Blast participants prepare for The Big Gig, learning the skills and working with top BBC professionals before shooting some of the best young Northern Ireland bands around, performing to a live audience. Oh and did we mention it was broadcast Live!
