03_Mar_98_Basic_Soda_Bread-Cake_Style.html)
The site lists several Irish recipes from Champ to Dublin Lawyer. But the taste many Irish people miss when they are away from home is the simple Soda Bread. Here is an easily printed recipe.

Irish Football Site
(http://www.clubi.ie/fpage/index.html)
The history of soccer in Ireland, recent news and a forum are some of the elements of this site which celebrates football in Ireland. From here you can find out about the Irish International Team and some of the clubs and the Football Association of Ireland.

Blas
(http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/tvr-irish-language-unit-real.shtml)
Another aspect of Irish culture is the language. While there are several places to learn something about Irish Gaelic on the Web - and we will link to them later - here is a programme from BBC Radio Ulster which is available every day Monday-Thursday streamed live or on demand.

There are several Ballykissangel Fan Sites on the Web and as you would expect they range in their quality. There is also a Ballykissangel Webring. We will not list them all here, but here are two.

Beck' Ballykissangel Pages
http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/9171/
The site has won a number of awards. Becks has provided a lot of background to Ballykissangel, much of it from visits she has made to Avoca - the village where the shows are shot. There are background photos from filming, info about Stephen and Dervla and a Forum for fans. One interesting aspect is the alternative endings to some of the shows. Becks site has won several awards. Becks wrote the Remember the Day section for The Ballykissangel Examiner.

Sarah's Groovy Ballykissangel Site
(http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/7492/)
As you would expect there is a programme by programme description of the story so far. Pages dedicated to Stephen Tompkinson, Dervla Kirwan and James Nesbitt - who played Leo McGarvey, who married Assumpta. Sarah also posts pictures of her first "Ballykissangel Convention". The site has got a good strong "fan" feel.
