The usually quiet town of Ballykissangel has become a busy
tourist attraction since many residents have reported ghoulish
sightings.
The ghost
is believed to be Finbar Corcoran or Corky to the residents
and rumours have it that he is an ancestor of local sheep
farmer Louis Dargan.
Liam Coghlan believes that the ghostly highwayman is a bit
of a Robin Hood character; stealing from the rich to give
to the poor.
"There
have been many eerie and unearthly sightings here over the
last week" said Landlord, Paul Dooley "and it's
not just in the bar" he continued.
Liam and Donal reported that they saw the ghost in the woods.
"Terrifying it was. I'll never forget it" said Donal.

all witnessed
this ghostly highwayman in the vicinity of Ballykissangel.
Not surprisingly
these spooky goings on attracted media attention almost immediately
and consequently an influx of tourists.
Many residents believe that Paul Dooley is responsible for
all of these ghostly shenanigans.
Liam Coghlan explained "The place is turning in to a
circus. Residents can't even park their cars nevermind get
a drink".
However, the next night Oonagh Dooley and later Paul Dooley
witnessed unexplained shadows and frightening sounds. "Something
flew past me and all I could hear were horses hooves"
said Oonagh.
The Gardai are speaking to the local sheep farmer Louis Dargan.
The
Gardai are taking this case very seriously. As yet they can
offer no credible explanation.
