Coppers chase crooks

Gardai have disclosed that a number of men are being held in custody following a chase with a car carrying a large chest of caviar. The caviar is said to be worth almost a quarter of a million pounds on the black market.

The chase was witnessed by two local men who wanted to be identified only as Liam and Donal - “Because that’s our names”, commented one. They described the chase in which a was stopped by Gardai and a number of men were arrested.

The two witnesses were shovelling sand onto the beach from the back of a lorry at the time.

They claimed that they were on an ecological project to beautify the beach. It is believed that the Gardai may have broken a high powered fish egg ring.

filth and frolics

If getting covered in mud up to your eyebrows is your idea of fun, then there will be no holding you back at the new Quad Bike race Course, on the Cilldargan Road, Ballykissangel.

The course is best enjoyed after a hefty shower of rain - and when is there not rain in BallyK? The muddy course is guaranteed to get your pulse and your quad bike racing. Recently spotted on the course were Orla O’Connell and the gallant Conor Devlin who recently came to her rescue when the balloon she was racing in crashed into the sea.
